Oiselle Running Tees
Theses are the most comfortable shirts I've ever worn. They're cut in women's sizes, half cotton, half polyester, super soft and don't retain any odors. I actually like them better than tri tops or any of the tanks I own. Plus they look super cute with a pair of jeans or non-running shorts (on those rare occasions I'm not wearing running shorts). The only thing Oiselle needs is more green in their color palate and a "Born and Race in New England Shirt" -- I think a lobsta graphic would be very appropriate.
Lululemon Speed Shorts
These shorts make up the bottom half of my non-work "uniform." They're super comfortable, have a yoga waistband and a un-looseable drawstring and three pockets (two in the front and a zip pocket in the back). They're simply best shorts -- ever. As you can see, not only am I rocking the lulus post-race, Mary wore them for her race announcing duties. They're so comfortable, I'm contemplating a wardrobe change in T2 at IMLP just to change into them for the run.
Splish Custom Designed Swim Suits
So I've always loved Splish suits, they're inexpensive, have super cute patterns and hold up to chlorine really well (better than a lot of the really pricey suits). I recently discovered that for the price of a normal suit, you can use Splish's website to custom design a suit -- pretty cool. Obviously the one I'm wearing isn't mine (thanks to Mary for letting me borrow it) but I've since designed two for me including a Mark Cavendish / HTC Highroad swim suit. Shaun hates the HTC suit, but I think its cute and plan on wearing it while I'm in Lake Placid. I also designed a QT2 Systems suit that I plan on wearing in some shorter races later this year.
SomaRest
I don't sleep well. I never have and I've tried lots of things to help me sleep: real sleeping pills (I'm sensitive to medicines and they leave me super groggy and give me crazy dreams), Benadryl (same issue with the grogginess), Melatonin (I have to take huge doses for it to have any effect), Chamomile tea (doesn't help); and on and on and on. I start using SomaRest several months ago, it has melatonin and a bunch of other herbs and it actually works for me. I sleep better and I don't wake up nearly as much at night. Its not perfect, but its a huge improvement. I love Holly at Prossage Wellness (which strangely is located in the Hartford Marriott although that makes it really easy for me to have a massage appointment in the middle of the work day). My body is kind of a mess right now and its gotten to the point that I see Holly on a weekly basis. I used several massage therapists over the years and Holly is one of the best. Friendly and super professional, she understands that I want to do everything possible to make my bosy work. The only thing better than Holly would be if Shaun finally listened to my pleas and decided to become a certified massage therapist.

I am just catching up on blogs...I need to try Lululemon and Splish...I have not tried either...I have always been TYR for suits and never really found running shorts for "mom" ;) Looking forward to LP
ReplyDeleteLulu shorts are fantastic -- nice and roomy in the hips.
